After over two years of dedicated study, completing dozens of case studies, and passing a thorough assessment, Lisa qualified in 2023 to work with the public. She is thrilled to have established her small business, Sunflower Kinesiology, in the autumn of 2024.
If you’re not familiar with kinesiology, it’s a wonderful complimentary energy therapy like acupuncture, reiki, reflexology, etc. It stems from chiropractic techniques and Chinese medicine and started in the 1960s in the USA. Today it is practiced in over 60 countries, and is recognised by the UK government via the Complimentary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
There are several different branches of kinesiology, Lisa is a Proficient Touch for Health practitioner. For details of how Lisa discovered kinesiology and why she’s studied it, please go to Lisa’s kinesiology journey.
Lisa is passionate about working with her clients, and being a facilitator of wellbeing, enabling them to live their best life.
She uses meridians (energy pathways in the body), acupressure points, muscles, chakras, and a variety of techniques to help her client’s body to be physically, emotionally, structurally and biochemically aligned, to create a balanced mind and body.
During a session, Lisa and her clients work together, using muscle monitoring. She combines her client’s incredible and amazing body wisdom with her gentle and non invasive techniques, and just asks that clients are open to the possibility of change.
Every balance is unique and specific for that particular session. It focuses on the root cause of what the client wants to improve and what their body needs, rather than concentrating on any symptoms they may be experiencing. The symptoms could include pain, anxiety, mood, posture imbalance, IBS, trauma, or anything else you can think of. Listening to what the client’s body needs (using the muscle monitoring), rather than prescribing a solution based on the symptoms, makes kinesiology very different to other therapies.
For best results, it’s recommended to have the first three sessions close together. The number of sessions depends on the individual’s health issues and how long they have had them.
Clients are fully clothed throughout the balance, and it’s suitable for people of any age from babies, and with no maximum age.

What clients have said:
- Lisa has completed a session with me. I had a car accident which left me with lower back and hip pain. Lisa has been able to give me some kinesiology and I have not had to take any pain relief since.
- Lisa was supportive and patient working with and through my scepticism.
- After wrenching my back, I was unable to sit, stand or lie without severe pain. I had a single kinesiology session with Lisa, and within a couple of hours the pain level had reduced by half. She didn’t even touch my back! Lisa gave me a few quick and easy exercises to do at home, and over the next week, the rest of the pain disappeared.
- A major cause of my recurring foot pain was found to be stresses between me and a family member, six years earlier. What seemed to be a physical problem was actually emotional. Uncovering and resolving that was a turning point, with most of the pain disappearing overnight. Kinesiology can succeed where conventional medicine struggles, because it deals with the cause rather than the symptoms.
- I’ve had several kinesiology sessions with Lisa, to help with both physical and emotional pain. She always puts me at ease, and has a calm and friendly yet professional demeanour. Some of my issues have taken a few sessions to fix, whereas some have been almost instantaneous. I don’t always understand how kinesiology works, but I’m happy to say that it does. If you are experiencing physical or emotional pain, I wholeheartedly recommend a consultation with Sunflower Kinesiology.
